Biography of Mairi Wilson
Mairi is a qualified Shiatsu (Acupressure) Practitioner who has been working in the field of holistic health for the past five years.
Mairi's training was with the Shiatsu School Edinburgh and Shiatsu Australia.
Mairi is also an attuned Reiki practitioner.
Mairi is a registered member of Independent Professional Therapists International.
What Treatments Are Available?
Both Reiki and Shiatsu treatments are available. Shiatsu is also known as acupressure or "acupuncture without needles".
Both treatments involve full body work. These holistic methods of treatment relax the whole body. Treatment is given at floor level on a comfortable futon. Treatments work on the energy systems and centres in the body, centering, balancing and unblocking energy and enabling the body to heal itself. They also relieves localised symptoms such as tension in individual muscle groups.
Both Reiki and Shiatsu have been used for many hundreds of years and date back to traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine.
